We gained a new daughter-in-law and a new son-in-law, plus all of their respective families.
We welcome the Southerners, Nikki Lee from Kentucky and Jesse from North Carolina, and their families' into our our family. Listening to their accents,
They made me realize now how everyone must have perceived me nearly sixty years ago when this 11-year-old kid with an English accent showed up in a New York neighborhood.
We have experienced some of the best years of our lives, now going back to England regularly, where they say I sound like a Yank! However, some old English words and inflections sneak back into my speech on those trips
Please welcome Jesse into our family. It was a beautiful wedding at the York College Chapel, with Genevieve, Kelly, and Rachel as the bridesmaids. Only a few pictures that I snapped right now. More will be posted as we get them in from the folks that take better pictures than me.
Picture compliments of Kristi's friend Laura Herschberger
Rachel, who introduced the couple and explained the the Quaker marriage ceremony, and Kelly, the Maid of Honor.
From my angle, I had trouble getting a picture of Genevieve during the ceremony, but I know others got plenty of great shots. She gave a great little speech during the ceremony.
Laura also provided this image of Kristi and Jesse changing their status on Facebook
Genevieve and her friend Oliver. Picture taken by Oliver's mom, Erin.

This all started in the 1960s when John & Joan O'Connell and their four children, Bob, Sheila, Sean, and Pearl, immigrated o the United States from England aboard the SS Liberte. Now, the family is split between the South-Central Pennsylvania contingent with our mom, Joan, and Bob, Sheila, Pearl, and their spouses, kids, and grandkids, and the Midwest brood under its' leadership of Sean and Deb.
In the East, Bob & Ann begat Kristi and Dave, Sheila & Steve begat Kygh, Ryan, Keri, and Elliot, and Pearl & Darrell begat Sasha and Dru. Out west, Sean & Deb begat Christopher, Erin, Daniel, and Ian. Beyond that third generation Sean & Deb's brood takes the lead with the largest number of Mom's great grandchilden - 10 and counting - more than all of the siblings put together - just six. It must be the water in Missouri.
My little one-fourth of the original second generation got it's start in 1969 when I met Ann Young - in a probably-arranged meeting brokered between Ann's oldest brother, Chris, and my dad. The rest is history! This is our group now, plus two Beagles - Molly and Charles.
Adopted Charles on 18 January, 2020, and Molly on 28 December, 2018. They seem to have hit it off well

When Dave came along and Kristi had a little brother. She says it was the only time she could stand Dave - after that they fought all the time.
Move ahead about 15 years or so
Krid and Dave acting a little silly. Ann was always jealous of Dave's hair.
Kristi's hair is probably her natural color, but it has changed so many times, nobody knows for sure.
Jump ahead a few more years to when Kristi and Dave graduated from York college.
Kristi graduating about 1997. Dr. Waldner presenting diploma.
Dave graduating about 2000. Still Dr. Waldner presenting diploma.
Dave is now a sports writer for The Messenger newspaper in Madisonville, KY

Look how skinny we were and how short my hair was. Ann's Mom, Doris, put together a wedding reception in less than a week - complete with personalized napkins, matches, and a wedding cake.
